Fiber-Span, the established leader in fiber-optic RF ON FIBER products, announced today it has delivered to SPAWAR the first prototype of an advanced phased array RF on Fiber System. This system is intended for use as a subsystem in the US Navy's anti-jamming GPS smart antenna system.

Utilizing advanced DWDM fiber optic technology Fiber-Span's RF over fiber subsystem is designed to accept multiple independent phase matched GPS RF over fiber signals and deliver all signals to a remote location via one single mode fiber. At the remote location the signals are processed by the GPS beam-forming phased array antenna system to provide enhanced anti-jamming protection.

Fiber-Span's Fiber Optic RF ON Fiber subsystem utilizes proven fiber optic and RF technology to provide reliable and cost effective GPS and RF over fiber signal distribution.
