RF in-building coverage extension systems for UHF applications oftentimes require support for more than one service organization. And in many cases, the repeater frequencies used by these organizations reside in different frequency bands. For years in-building RF system designers have battled the interlaced frequency dilemma in the UHF band. Fiber-Span, the established leader of RF ON FIBER products for military, commercial, public safety and wireless applications, announced the delivery of the FS-3331-PRC117 Series of tactical radio fiber links recently to the U.S. Government.

Fiber-Span's FS-3331-PRC117 is configured for TAC-SAT applications. Designed to work with military tactical radios, including the AN/PRC-117 and AN/PSC-5D. The FS-3331-PRC117 will allow an antenna to be connected, via lightweight fiber optic cable, to a radio up to 10 KM away. WDM options allow multiple radios to be connected with a single fiber. The FS-3331-PRC117 provides all of the filtering required for tactical satellite communications at DAMA frequencies.
