PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

Product Marketing Manager reports to the CEO and will work closely on Fiber-Spans marketing communications, product management, application engineering and Sales to ensure that the Fiber-Span value propositions are accurately and consistently delivered. This position is responsible for leading technical product management activities for the Fiber-Span product family. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Field Engineering/Operations to ensure that the Company’s products meet customer/market requirements while generating a strong ROI for the company. The Product Marketing Manager must become a Subject Matter Expert for all technical and market issues related to the Fiber-Span Product Family.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Product Marketing Manager’s range of responsibilities will include the following activities:

Product Expert: The Product Marketing Manager must become an expert on Fiber-Span technology, capable of supporting the sales team by developing targeted presentation material, providing product expertise at customer meetings, and assisting with RFP   responses. The PMM will be the focal point in strategic planning of new products. The PMM must identify customer requirements and major market trends. The PMM will become an industry expert and act as company spokesman for public relations and industry   events. The PMM has responsibility for creating and updating the Product Roadmap and Tracking the financial health of FS products.

Content Creation: Create technical content for Fiber-Span customer presentations, marketing collateral, web sites and sales tools, and transforming technical and business differentiators into crisp value propositions. The PMM is responsible for business case   definition, development, and management.

Collateral Development: Coordinate product management, application engineering and marketing communications to develop technical product collateral including presentations, brochures, and white papers for use with customers and partners. Engage with   PR agencies, customers, and industry contacts to craft compelling press releases, customer case studies, and application notes. Support Marketing Communications for Industry Trade Shows and Conferences.

Marketing Programs: The Product Marketing Manager will be expected to create and drive marketing programs and other lead-generation activities to address key vertical markets and support channel partners (VARs, agents, and distributors) in each region   of responsibility.

Competitive Analysis: Develop competitive sales tools that clearly and concisely articulate the Company’s value propositions when evaluated against solutions from existing and potential competitors in each region. Support a global competitive analysis   program including competitor scorecard that provides regular competitive updates to the sales team and channel partners.
